Obituary for Pelton, Jeanne Durant
Pelton, Jeanne Durant Marion: January 18, 2015. Passed peacefully at age 71 after a short illness. She was surrounded by her loving husband of 35 years, John Pelton, 4 Children, John Mark (Sue) DeHaan, Rickard DeHaan, Regan DeHaan, Jennifer (Peter) Florescu (Pelton) and 3 step-children, Tracy Kleinbach (Pelton), Christine Pelton & Tamara (Jake) Pocock (Pelton). She is survived by 9 beautiful grandchildren, Dallas DeHaan, Tina DeHaan, Hunter Fallon, Cheyne DeHaan, Ryker DeHaan, Ethan DeHaan, Riley DeHaan, Ava Pocock and Lily Florescu. She is also survived by 3 sisters, Constance (Michael) Bradley (Durant), Laurie (Kelly) Stratton (Durant), Joy Snell (Durant), 1 brother Donald Durant and many loving aunts, nieces, nephews and friends. She is pre-deceased by her parents, Marguerite Jenny Durant (Ghostlaw), Bernerd E. Durant, brother William Durant and sister Janice Barisic (Durant). Jeanne was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She grew up in Bombay, Northern New York as a daughter of a dairy farmer and was proud of her roots. She had a wonderful sense of humor and a passion for crosswords, reading, gardening and travelling but most important to her was her family, both immediate and extended. She loved doing things for others and spoiling her grandchildren. She also had many treasured and dear friends, particularly those in her coffee klatch of over 30 years. Friends & Family may call Tues. Jan. 27 from 2 - 4pm at Grace Baptist Church, 3040 Walworth Road, Marion NY. Funeral service immediately to follow at 4pm.
