Pelton, John H.
Marion: Entered into rest on February 26, 2016 at the age of 81. He is predeceased
by his wife Jeanne (Durant) Pelton. Survived by daughters, Tracy Kleinbach; Christine Pelton;
Tamara Pocock; and Jennifer (Peter) Florescu; step children, John Mark (Sue)
DeHaan; Rickard DeHaan; Regan DeHaan; grandchildren, Dallas DeHaan;
Tina DeHaan; Hunter Fallon; Cheyne DeHaan; Ryker DeHaan; Ethan DeHaan;
Riley DeHaan; Ava Pocock; and Lily Florescu; Brother, David Pelton;
John was a veteran of The United States Army and also attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Florida. He held a degree in Aeronautical Engineering, but decided he did not want to fly planes and instead pursued a career in engineering on the ground. He worked for General Electric in Syracuse initially in the 1960’s and then went to work for Xerox for the rest of his career. He retired from Xerox in 1999 and travelled the country with his beloved wife, Jeanne in their motorhome. He loved technology, ham radios, electronics and had a sharp and brilliant mind, right to the end. He had a great sense of humor and was a gentle and wise man, always quick with advice or a funny story. John loved his family and his wife, Jeanne immensely and he will be missed greatly by all who loved him.
