Joan Elaine Green
VICTOR: Joan went to be with her creator on December 4, 2022 at the age of 83. Joan was born to the late John and Esther Wilson on September 17, 1939 in Rochester, New York. She is predeceased by her husband, Macel F. Green Jr.; and son, John Green.
Survived by her uncle, Norbert Brauner; sisters, Ester and Sharon; daughters, Denise (James) Watson, and AJ McKinley; grandchildren, Daniel, Michael, Kenneth, Steven Watson; Huntyr, Emma, Alyk, and Emily; great-grandchild, Sophie; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Joan met her husband, Macel F. Green Jr., and married in 1959. After a brief time in East Rochester, the young couple moved to Marion and raised 3 children, John, Denise, and Allison. She spent her past time knitting and crocheting. Her projects were loved and favored by family and friends. She was a cook of great ability, her holiday tables were loaded with all the traditional dishes, and crowd pleasing desserts. Laughter and good cheer filled the room, and her warm and friendly disposition was a blessing for the small, but faithful clientele of her cleaning business. A cup of coffee and a bit of conversation were the starting points of her day. She relocated to Gananda, Victor, and finally to her daughter Denises’ home on Chillington Lane in Mendon, NY.
There will be no prior calling hours. Friends and family are invited to join us in a memorial service on Saturday, December 10th starting 11AM at Stevens Funeral Home, 3896 Buffalo St., Marion, NY 14505.
