Harold F. Spencer
PALMYRA: Entered into rest on March 13, 2026 at the age of 96. He was born in East Rochester on July 20, 1929 and lived there in his youth until graduating from high school and R.I.T. He is predeceased by his parents, Harrison (Eula) Spencer; brothers and sisters. Survived by his wife, Kathy; son, Takota Spencer; step-daughter, Joy (Lynn) Frizelle; sister, Vera Spencer; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Harold proudly served his country in the Marines right before the break of the Korean War. After graduating college, he went on to serve as an art teacher in Marion, he served students of all creeds and backgrounds.
He enjoyed fast cars and motorcycles in his youth, and never feared living life to the fullest. In his later years, he worked as a counselor with AIDS Rochester and paid various volunteer organizations. His entire life was dedicated to giving more than taking, and for that he will never be forgotten.
There will be no prior calling hours. A military graveside service will be held 1PM, April 30th at the Marion Cemetery, 1 Cemetery Drive, Marion, NY 14505 followed by a reception at the Marion American Legion, Post 1430, 4141 Witherden Rd., Marion, NY 14505 Online condolences may be expressed at stevensfhmarion.com
