Fisher, Ellen E. (Betty)
Penfield: Formerly of Marion, April 3 at age 93. It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that our family announces the passing of our dear mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Ellen (Betty) Fisher. Predeceased by her beloved husband of 72 years, Calvin (Kelly) Fisher and by her brother Tom Morrison. Survived by her three daughters, Jackie (Gordon) Walker, Joan (Doug) Ott, and Judy (Norm) Short; grandchildren Steve (June) Walker, Pam (Chip) Ducharme, Craig (Carolyn) Walker, Kate (Rob) Foster, Jennifer (Andy) Muto, Jason Ott, Gina Lockhart, Greg Ott, Julie (Walt) Brown, Eric Minns, Brian (Jenny) Minns, Brian (Katie) Short and Aaron (Kristin) Short. There are nineteen great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews who will miss her as well. Also survived by her sister-in-law Mary Morrison, stepsister Dolores (Al) Costenoble, stepsister Diane Mitchell, stepsister-in-law Helen Rumsey and stepsister-in-law Eleanor Cook.
Betty will always be remembered for her kind nature and sweet personality. Everyone who entered her home was greeted with a warm smile and a special treat. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren especially enjoyed baking Christmas cookies with her.
Calling hours will be 4-7 pm on Friday, April 8 at Stevens Funeral Home, 3896 Buffalo Street, Marion, NY. A funeral service will be held at The United Church of Marion, 3848 North Main Street, Marion, NY at 11 am on Saturday, April 9.
