NEWARK/MARION: Entered into rest on June 16, 2024 at the age of 83. He is predeceased by his parents, Burdett and Beatrice Croucher. Survived by his loving wife, Meridith of 38 years; children, Beth Barnett, Tim Croucher, Abigail (Brandon Dishaw) Hoffman; grandchildren, Stephanie, Daniel, Kira, Sammy; great-grandchildren, Phoenix, Finnleigh, Eli, Melanie, Coraline, and Forrest; sister, Donna (Sam) Nelson; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Dean was a veteran of the United States NAVY where he proudly served his Country. Road Racing was a passion. He was a proud member of the Sports Car Club of America, where he was a Nationally Licensed Steward after holding several other positions. He also joined the BMW Club and was National Chief Seward for many years. After retiring from BMW Club Racing, he participated as a member of the rules committee. He continued to work races for the SCCA until he passed. Friends and family are invited to call 5pm - 7pm Thursday, June 20 at Stevens Funeral Home, 3896 Buffalo St., Marion, NY 14505. A graveside service will be held 1pm Friday, June 21 at NY State Veterans Cemetery Finger Lakes (Sampson Cemetery), 6632 State Route 96A, Ovid, NY 14521. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory to the House of John, 14 Spring St., Clifton Springs, NY 14432. Online condolences may be expressed at stevensfhmarion.com
