Barbara Jean Corteville
Palmyra: October 6, 2017, at age 82. Predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Daryl R. Corteville, and a brother, Duane Derks; Survived by three sons, Thomas (Holly) of Penfield, Mark (Gail) of Waxhaw, NC, Jeffrey (Danielle) of Chesapeake Beach, MD; her grandchildren, Bennett, Haley, Hillary (Dylan) Tobin, Elizabeth, Daniel and Anna; great-granddaughter, Lucy Rose Tobin; siblings, Fred (Patricia) Derks of Ontario, David (Donna) Derks of McCormick, SC, Linda (Mark) Haskins of Marion, and several nieces and nephews.
Barbara worked for many years as a secretary at the Palmyra-Macedon High School, but her greatest joy was always her family for whom she was devoted.
A memorial service will be held at The Fairport Baptist Home on Thursday, October 12 at 2:00 pm. Burial to follow for immediate family only. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fairport Baptist Home, 4646 Nine Mile Point Road, Fairport, NY 14450. Condolences may be expressed at www.stevensfhmarion.com.
