Obituary for Joseph L. Spychalski
Palmyra: Joseph Spychalski passed away April 22, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. Joe was born in Sodus on November 8, 1924 to Frank and Louise Spychalski. He wed Lorraine Vanderstine on August 5, 1944. Joe was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He enjoyed nothing more than being with his family. Joe was predeceased by his wife, Lorraine, his son, Dean; his parents; sisters, Anne Fegadel, Mary Wagner, and Frances Young. He is survived by his sons, David (Maryann), Terry (Bernadine), Steve (Kristine); daughter, Maryann (Peter) Holden; his brother Leon; grandchildren, Elaine (Eric) Barge, Dean (Debbie), Karen, Julie (Cricket), Brian, Mary Beth Spychalski, Amy (Alan) Storey, Nicholas (Gabbie), Maddie, Karrie, Katie Spychalski, Adriane, Taylor and Eric Holden; 10 great-grandchildren; special family member, Gerry Byrnes.

Friends and family are invited to call Wednesday, April 25 from 4-7 PM at Stevens Funeral Home, 3896 Buffalo St., Marion. A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday at 10 AM at St. Anne’s Church, 136 Church Street, Palmyra, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 435 East Henrietta Road, Rochester, NY 14620.
